ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

An applicant for admission must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate or hold a GED equivalent to enroll in the Court Reporting program. It is the responsibility of the applicant to furnish evidence of high school completion or GED at time of enrollment and/or prior to his/her first class convening date, or will have signed appropriate documents to obtain evidence from appropriate institutions.

Applicants must be physically able to perform the functions required of a practicing court reporter and must be certifiable by the individual state requirements. It is the duty of the applicant to advise National Court Reporting Institute upon making application for admission of any physical handicaps and/or legal impediments the student has which would prevent the student from completing the training at National Court Reporting Institute and/or preclude certification as a court reporter.

Due to the high skill level accomplishment required to become a certified court reporter, the student must be a self-motivated, disciplined individual, willing to spend additional practice time outside of class where necessary to successfully complete the requirements of the program.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES

Each applicant for admission will complete an enrollment agreement. The enrollment agreement must be submitted along with the registration fee before attending, for credit, any class sessions. All applicants are considered for admission without regard to race, religion, creed, age, color, national origin, sex, or physical handicap; but the school reserves the right to refuse admission.

The student’s name will be added to the Master Student Registration list upon completion of registration formalities and maintained thereon until graduation, withdrawal and/or termination

PAYMENT POLICY

Students may pay by personal Check, MasterCard, VISA, and Debit Card.

Tuition is a just and legal obligation of the student. Unpaid tuition will result in the loss of opportunity to graduate, withholding of transcripts and denial of reentry. Efforts to collect past due obligations will follow standard acceptable collection practices in accordance with state laws.
